The iPhone is a mobile telephone produced and distributed by Apple Inc, with Internet connectivity over WiFi or GPRS, a 2 mega pixel digital camera and media player capabilities. The main feature of the iPhone is the touch sensitive screen and virtual keyboard – there are no physical buttons on the front of the device apart from the home button. The iPhone became available in the UK in November 2007.
The device has a music library in a similar way to the iPod range, and music can be purchased from the iTunes music store over WiFi. The iPhone supports the storage and playing of podcasts. Individual podcast episodes can be download but not subscribed to without syncing with iTunes on a PC or Mac.
